RECREATION AND ACTIVITIES CONTACTS

Join us in The Relay for Life!
One person can make a difference.

Nowhere is that more evident than with the story of the Relay For Life, which began in Tacoma, Washington, in the 1980's, when Dr. Gordy Klatt a colorectal surgeon, decided to raise money for the local American Cancer Society, by doing something he loved - running Marathons! His 24 hours circling the track at a local university is the model for which Relay for Life events are based.

Our fund raising culminates each year in a24 hour event at SLW Tradition Field where all local Port St Lucie teams meet for a night of activities and continued fundraising. It is an opportunity to acknowledge survivors, their families, friends and caregivers as well as to remember those we have lost to cancer. READ M0RE

International Food Club meets first Tuesday of each month.

The International Food Club is an opportunity for people who enjoy cooking as well as socializing with other Lake Forest residents. Each month, the group members meet to choose a theme for the following months' dinner, which is also hosted by a group member. Dinner themes have been varied over the past few years and have included Italian, French and Greek cuisine. Some have been based on an annual event such as Mardi Gras and Chinese New Year. Occasionally the group has planned a dinner at a local restaurant. A dinner is planned for each month, with the exception of November when club members make Thanksgiving Baskets for a local organization, such as Children's Medical Services. In December the club has a progressive dinner.

The Internation Food Club meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the Lake Forest Club House. Call 772-878-1944 for more information.
